I know, I know, a form of personal expression and whatever, but really -- do you need to put a spoiler on your 1998 4 door sedan? Yeah, right. It's a sleeper. I'm sure you have a nitrous system, and could blow the doors off of a shopping cart here in the Target parking lot.

I stopped by Palisades Center mall on the way to the airport. This place is huge! It has a Best Buy, Circuit City, BJs, Home Depot, Target, Bed/Bath/Beyond, Dave & Busters, a paintball range, a bowling alley, a ferris wheel, a merry-go-round and all sorts of stores. It was huge. And, there was this group of women, all wearing the same black/silver sneakers and head scarves. A cult, perhaps, or just not slaves of fashion?

Apple unveiled the iPhone 2.0 today. Interestingly enough, this mall has both an Apple Store and an AT&T store. This is the line outside the AT&T store - about 5 people deep. The line outside the Apple Store, just around the corner, was about 40 deep.

It's not often that you find a minivan towing a Civil War-era cannon around. We spotted this on the way from Atlanta to Anderson, SC.

UPDATE

Interesting responses this far. JB thinks it is a black tupelo, Dad thinks it is some sort of wild cherry. Dad gave me some good advice – call the local County Extension office. I spoke to Laurie in the Horticulture department, and she advised me to send some pictures to them via email (uge1067 at uga dawt edu). I have to go back and grab xTreME cLoseup!* pictures of the leaves, bark and and then a wide angle of the tree in its surroundings.

*Her words, not mine.

I stopped by the playground this morning on the way to work and snagged a few more photos, including some macro shots. Here they are – I’m getting ready to send these off to my UGA contact as well.
