Toys and Boxes

Happy New Year, y'all! The first day of the New Year found us doing all sorts of strange things. Here's a short list:

  • Packed the kids into the van and headed up to Wolf to visit with Auntie Karyn and revive her from the doldrums of holiday retail work.
  • Called on a local box vendor and bought a tree's worth of sturdy cardboard boxes and some strapping tape.
  • Watched an episode of Good Eats in wonderiferous HD.
  • Determined that we have an awful lot of "stuff" in our home.
  • Scheduled delivery of our POD unit for tomorrow (ok, technically we did this today just before writing this, but the plan was to do it yesterday).
  • Wondered why children's toys are so intricate and expensive. Whilst unloading some storage area we found the drum lid to a toy drum. Devin spent the morning dropping it on the floor repeatedly much to the chagrin of my eardrums. Maya likes to walk around with a clear plastic block-bucket on her head.
  • Got the house listed on Craigslist.org. Oh yeah, I guess I didn't mention that we're in the market to move. :) We're looking to relocate over to the Sandy Plains area. So, while the market is great for buyers, we're gonna try to sell and buy. Hopefully, it's a wash. So if you know somebody in the market for a great house with plenty of room in a nice area that's well-situated... well let me know.
